An exceptional guitarist, bassist, theorist, Kung - Fu black belt, Musical Director, and armed with a qualification in cheese... We’re still waiting to see if there is anything Dan can’t do!
Dan joined Music Workshop some 5 years ago, and has become an integral cornerstone of not only what we do, but who we are. His patience, dedication, and creativity are an influence to all of us. With over 20 years playing and gigging, Dan first ventured into teaching through The Academy of Music and Sound in Swindon, going on to become a registered tutor for RGT. Dan has been asked to teach at Bath University, and has assisted in running BTEC level 3 music classes. Oh, and he plays drums in local Samba tornado Jamma de Samba…
Always looking to learn, explore and grow, he passes this ethic to his peers and students, his ear and adaptability to almost any genre and style, his musicality, compositions and comprehension are just a few more of the seemingly endless list of his talents… But what makes Dan a truly special tutor and human being is his humility, for he’ll much sooner call his achievements hard work before calling them talent.

Guitarist, Bassist, and graduate of the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford (ACM), Vince has studied under the expertise of some of the very best and brightest including Giorgio Serci (Jools Holland, BBC Concert Orchestra) & Michael Goodman (Wiley, Living In A Box).
An accomplished performer and session musician, Vince’s musical adventure has taken him all over the country, playing anything from and between synth-rock to straight-ahead Jazz. He has collaborated, sessioned, and written for artists including Mango and Josh Hicks.
His affable and can-do attitude has been established through playing, studying, and developing the confidence needed to help his students understand both the practical and theoretical aspects of their instrument. One of the newest members of the Muw Team, we have been immediately smitten by Vince’s approach and dedication to developing himself as a tutor and his seamless integration into our daily lives. Long may it continue!

Buddy has gone from being the unseen glue that held things together to the face that bonds so many of us to MUW. Now serving as our Coffeehouse Manager and a Trustee, he’s also the writer behind much of what you read across our platforms, as well as a gifted singer-songwriter and skilled multi-instrumentalist.
A vocalist who first found his voice performing spoken word and singing across the festival circuit, Buddy later deepened his craft by studying vocal technique and performance. His passion for teaching and empathy for life’s challenges led him to develop a creative programme for ex-offenders and disengaged young people, working alongside educators and the probation service to provide opportunity, voice, and direction.
His love for language and storytelling has fuelled countless songwriting and poetry workshops in schools and community settings, and his abundance of creative energy makes him a driving force behind our live shows. It’s no exaggeration to say that nearly every word on this site was written by him – just not this bit.
Having graduated with his Certificate of Music Education and with years of experience supporting learners of all ages and abilities, Buddy continues to coax confidence and creativity from everyone he works with.
He does all of this with the boundless warmth and loyalty of a golden retriever – full of love, patience, and an unshakable belief in your potential. So if you’re looking for someone to spark your creativity or help you find your voice, Buddy’s your man.

Kim’s musical journey began behind a drum kit at an early age and shows no sign of slowing. Now a founder, creative lead, and driving force behind Music Workshop, Kim is not only an outstanding musician but a visionary educator and programme designer with a gift for building platforms where others can thrive.
By age 11, Kim was already performing professionally in bands alongside adult musicians across Nottinghamshire. After achieving Grade 8 under the guidance of SABIAN educator Paul Hose, Kim went on to study Commercial Music at Bath Spa University. Along the way, he has learned from some of the world’s most respected drummers and educators—including private study with Jim Chapin, Dom Famularo, Steve White, and, most recently, an intensive mentorship with Mike Johnston in the U.S.
Kim’s performance career spans original music, theatre orchestras, and high-level session and function work, all of which informs a deeply practical, yet highly personalised teaching approach. He has a meticulous eye for detail and planning, but what really sets him apart is the way he makes people feel: seen, heard, and fully supported.
With a rare mix of musical expertise, humour, and heart (and a knack for running on limited sleep and limitless spreadsheets), Kim brings a sense of purpose and possibility to everything he does. Whether in lessons, live shows, or behind the scenes at MUW, he continues to be the calm, committed presence that helps students, staff, and ideas shine.
