Mission & Impact

Music & The Arts are vital cornerstones of our cultures and communities. They are also an essential building block in social, spiritual, intellectual, and emotional development. We’ve seen first-hand the sense of achievement and belonging that germinates in the hearts and minds of musicians and creatives, and the subsequent impact that can have on them and the people around them.

We wanted to create somewhere that can make anyone feel like a participant in their community, a contributors to it’s broader culture.

Somewhere that gives people a sense of belonging and connection.

Somewhere musical experiences are delivered with the guidance of inspirational teachers, with a passion and commitment

We believe music and the arts are the greatest influence there is, encouraging more compassionate, confident, and creative minds, as well as actually leading to improved attainment across the entire academic spectrum. Most importantly, it will also put a smile on your face!

Developing Partnerships

We’ve developed partnerships with numerous local charities, education establishments,  local arts providers, community music groups, and professional creatives.  Creating an ever-broadening network of projects and opportunities to a more rich and diverse cross-section of local people. Partnerships enhance the cultural and economic vitality of creativity and the arts in the area, as well as the lives of those who reside there.

These partnerships also allow us access to groups and organisations with a wealth of experience in addressing and tackling issues of accessibility and representation. As well as direct access to the people most in need. We believe the arts and charity sectors are stronger united, and are proud to have so many amazing partner organisations. And we’re always looking for more.

Improving Accessibility to Music

We realise that music and the arts aren't always accessible for a multitude of economic, social, and environmental reasons. With this in mind, we have already ensured several thousand pounds worth of places on our Scholarship Scheme. We are seeking further investment and developing fundraising efforts, in order to stabilise and sustain the scheme and wider organisation.

Our Coffeehouse CiC exists to further support the charity by directing its profits to our positive causes. The coffeehouse being a formal funding stream for the charity means the local community can support the arts by simply enjoying coffee & cake.

We are excited to share with you our mission to provide free music lessons to young people who may not have access to them. Through our network of students, parents, local organisations, and music hubs, we are working to identify and connect with children who would benefit from these opportunities. Our goal is to provide regular music lessons, performance opportunities, and access to our community coffeehouse and music space to help these young people develop their musical talents and reach their full potential.

Scholarships & Bursaries

We offer a range of scholarships and bursaries for all our services, including offering studio time and support to people with SEN, to full year bursaries for 1-2-1 lessons.

  • Long-term free music lessons, an instrument to practice on, and free event tickets for friends and family.

  • Free spaces on our Group Music Making Project, allowing more people, from more walks of life, the chance to meet and share music.

  • We provide subsidised studio time and professional support to young people and vulnerable adults, including those with SEN.

  • At Music Workshop, we’re passionate about helping young and emerging musicians on their journey into the world of live performance. That’s why we’ve launched Road to Stage for the New Generation — an exciting new project to help up-and-coming artists the tools, space, and stage time they need to grow.

Whether you're a solo artist or in a band we’re here to support your journey. We offer free weekend rehearsal spaces, mentoring from professional musicians, and regular live performance opportunities.

Each month, selected artists will perform at the Music Workshop Coffeehouse, a vibrant venue that fosters live music culture. Selected artists will also get the chance to perform at some of the UK’s top festivals and events, including Car Fest, bp pulse LIVE @ THE NEC ARENA, and Party in the City.

Register your interest and we look forward to welcoming you to our community, and continuing to transform lives through music.

    Sponsorship is from bp pulse.
